It’s hardly breaking news to report that fatherhood has become an all-in business. The new generation of dad no longer stands on the sidelines of family life. He rolls up his sleeves to get deeply involved in the daily chaos of raising his kids.
That’s why for the inaugural Dad Awards, The Father Hood is partnering with Mitre 10 to celebrate dads who “get on the tools” required for modern fatherhood. There are four categories to enter.
1. Do you know a dad who’s king of the kitchen cooking up meals for his kids? Post a picture of his culinary handiwork on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag: #dinnerbydad.
2. Know a dad who’s good with a hairbrush and can plait, braid or style his child’s hair like a pro?
Tag him at #hairbydad.
3. Know a handy dad who’s king of the cubby build or has constructed a mean go-kart?
Tag him at #diybydad
4. Know a dad who keeps his kids looking dapper?
Tag him at #dressedbydad.
It’s that easy. Simply enter before Friday, September 4 by including one of the above hashtags on posts in Facebook or Instagram. If you’re an Australian resident, you could be one of four lucky winners chosen at random who could win a $500 Mitre 10 voucher. Enter yourself or nominate a mate.
